The quick version
Open You > Your progress > How are you feeling?. Use the minus and plus buttons for Thirst, Fatigue, and Sleep. Expand More context if needed, then tap Save check-in. Review the values already shown: they can carry over from a previous day.
These steps match Frewli 1.1.1, checked October 23, 2026. The current release is on the App Store. The scales below describe app inputs, not a medical assessment.
1. Open the short check-in
Select You in the bottom navigation, open Your progress, and choose How are you feeling?. This opens the screen titled Check-in. You do not need to work through the longer Details & trends page for a quick update.
Read the current values before changing them. The screen edits one set of current signals. It does not offer a date picker, a list of past check-ins, or a fresh blank form every morning.
2. Set the three visible values
Tap minus or plus to move one step at a time. The directions differ: higher Thirst or Fatigue means more of that feeling, while higher Sleep means better sleep.
| Control | Range | App scale |
|---|---|---|
| Thirst | 0–5 | From no thirst to strong thirst. |
| Fatigue | 0–5 | From fresh to unusually drained. |
| Sleep | 1–5 | From poor sleep to solid sleep. |
For example, if Sleep still shows 4 from an earlier update but you would describe the latest night as 2, change it to 2. This is a record of your own assessment, not a score to improve by selecting a different number.
3. Expand More context when useful
More context reveals Urine color, a 1–8 stepper, and the Headache or pressure switch. The color scale runs from very pale to very dark. Use these as subjective app inputs without treating them as a diagnosis.
The expanded section also shows caffeine from today’s logged drinks. This is a summary, not a caffeine-entry control. Add or correct caffeine on the actual drink record; the coffee and tea guide explains known and unknown amounts. The app does not turn a cup count into a precise dose or a fixed extra fluid goal.
4. Save, then review Today
Tap Save check-in. The button changes to Check-in saved and the screen displays Today’s plan is updated. Return to Today to review the plan alongside your drink records.
A check-in can influence the app’s target and guidance; it does not guarantee that the displayed goal changes after every save. Different values can produce the same result, and a target already reached today can remain fixed. See how Frewli’s water goal works for the distinction between the starting setting and today’s target.
Saving does not record any consumed fluid. If you also had a drink, log that actual drink once on Today. If an existing entry is wrong, correct the original drink rather than adding another to adjust the plan.
5. Correct a value and keep it current
The controls change the current values as you use them. Going Back is not a cancel or discard action. If you tap the wrong value, restore it with the same control and save again. Changing a value after saving returns the button to Save check-in.
These values are not automatically cleared at midnight. Revisit them when they no longer describe your current context. An imported Apple Health sleep summary can also replace Sleep, so check that field if it differs from your last manual choice.
For the fuller explanation, return to Your progress > Details & trends and find Daily Check-In. It provides the same signals with sliders and a What do these scales mean? help button. Your weekly progress and streak still summarize drink records and daily goals, rather than how many times you saved a check-in.
