Start with your own existing record
Calibration is optional. The form opens with example numbers, not your latest saved test. Do not tap Save Calibration just to explore: every tap adds another result to the profile average.
1. Open the separate calibration form
Go to You > Personal plan > Sweat calibration. You will see Sweat Calibration, five sliders, Save Calibration and a Current sweat profile summary.
This is separate from the Low, Moderate or High Sweat tendency setting in Personal plan. You can use normal drink tracking and profile settings without completing a calibration. This guide explains entering data you already have; it does not provide a weigh-in test protocol.
2. Match each input to its unit
Keep the original record beside you and check all five inputs before saving. The form uses kilograms, liters and minutes.
| Control | Unit and range |
|---|---|
| Pre weight | 45–130 kg |
| Post weight | 45–130 kg |
| Consumed fluids | 0–2.5 L |
| Urine loss | 0–1.5 L |
| Duration | 15–180 min |
For example, an existing note of 500 ml corresponds to 0.5 L in Consumed fluids. That is a unit conversion, not an amount to drink. Do not enter a bottle’s full capacity if your record describes a different consumed amount.
The on-screen note says to leave Urine loss at zero unless bathroom loss was measured during that test. This value is not measured automatically by iPhone, Apple Watch or Apple Health. Do not fill it with an invented measurement.
3. Recognize the rounded slider labels
These are continuous sliders, without a typed decimal-entry field. Labels show no decimal places for values of 10 or more and one decimal place below 10. The underlying slider value can contain more precision than the label shows.
The demonstration starts with an underlying Post weight of 77.3 kg, but its label reads 77 kg. A label of 77 therefore does not prove an exact input of 77.0. The calculation uses the underlying weight and volume values; Duration is converted to whole minutes by dropping its fractional part.
If the available range or displayed precision cannot represent your record adequately, do not treat the entry as exact. Keep the original notes and leave the optional calibration unsaved rather than substituting convenient numbers.
4. Save once and check the summary
- Note the count in Current sweat profile before saving.
- Recheck the five inputs against your existing record.
- Tap Save Calibration once.
- Check that the calibration count has increased by one and read the displayed average in L/hr.
A changed count shows that the in-app profile updated; it does not confirm that local storage or cloud sync succeeded. If the app reports a saving problem, keep your original notes and contact support.
The screen remains open after saving. Tapping again is another save, not a confirmation or an edit. Even identical inputs increase the count again. Changing a slider alone does not add a calibration.
Use Back to leave. When you open a new calibration form, its example inputs return; they are not a saved-test history. The count and average are the profile summary to check. A higher count alone does not establish better measurements.
5. Understand the cumulative average
Each save calculates a rate from the entered values and gives that result equal weight in the running average. It is not weighted by test duration. With no previous calibrations, the first saved result replaces the initial model rate.
For a fictional arithmetic example, two saved rates averaging 0.80 L/hr plus one new rate of 1.10 L/hr produce 0.90 L/hr across three calibrations: (2 × 0.80 + 1.10) ÷ 3. These invented rates illustrate averaging, not measured results or intake targets.
The form has no individual calibration list, date picker, edit, delete or undo control. If you save an incorrect or duplicate result, do not add a made-up “correction” to balance the average. Contact support with the problem before making further changes.
6. Keep estimates separate from real records
The updated sweat profile can affect Frewli’s calculated workout and daily estimates. It remains a model estimate, not a laboratory result or a prescribed drinking rate. Saving does not change your chosen Starting goal setting.
Calibration does not create a workout, log consumed fluids, update your profile’s Weight or measure sodium concentration. If the underlying workout or drink needs recording, use the workout form or regular drink controls separately, checking first whether the record already exists. Consumed fluids in this form is an input to the estimate, not a second drink entry.
