The quick version
In Today > Other drink, enter the drink's details, enable Save as a favorite, and tap Add drink. This records the consumed drink and saves a reusable favorite. Later, choosing that favorite fills the form; you still review it and tap Add drink to log a new entry.
These steps match Frewli 1.1.1, checked October 18, 2026. Find the current release on the App Store. The examples explain recording, not recommended intake.
1. Save a favorite while logging a real drink
- On Today, tap Other drink.
- Choose Drink type and enter the Volume you consumed.
- Use Name (optional) to identify the recipe or usual bottle.
- Review Caffeine and sodium (optional) and the recorded Time.
- Enable Save as a favorite, then tap Add drink.
Add drink is also a logging action. Do not create a drink you have not consumed just to build a favorites list. Switching the toggle alone does not save a favorite, and cancelling the form does not log or save it.
2. Reuse the favorite for the next drink
Open Other drink again. Once you have a saved favorite, a Favorites section appears at the top. Tap one to fill the form with its type, usual volume, name, and composition.
Selecting a favorite does not log anything yet. Check the current drink's portion and recipe, then tap Add drink when the record is correct. Each successful addition is a new drink in history.
Check Time before adding
A new form starts with the time it was opened. Selecting a favorite does not reset that time. If you left the form open or are recording a drink later, check its date and time rather than assuming they changed when you selected the favorite.
3. Check the portion and label values
A favorite is useful when the recipe is consistent. Imagine you saved a 500 ml sports drink containing 400 mg sodium. Selecting it and changing Volume to 250 ml calculates 200 mg sodium from the saved concentration.
| Portion | Volume | Sodium |
|---|---|---|
| Saved favorite | 500 ml | 400 mg |
| Half-size portion | 250 ml | 200 mg |
That arithmetic assumes the same concentration. If the mix or product changed, check the actual label and update the values instead of relying on the old favorite. The water and sodium guide explains label units.
Coffee and tea caffeine does not automatically scale just because Volume changes. Adding water or milk is not necessarily another dose of coffee or tea. Review the actual caffeine amount separately.
4. Change the favorite for future drinks
- Open Other drink > Manage favorites.
- Select the favorite to open Edit favorite.
- Update its name, usual volume, type, or composition.
- Tap Save favorite.
This changes the reusable favorite for future uses. It does not rewrite previously logged drinks or add a drink now.
One-off changes made after selecting a favorite in Add drink apply to that new drink, not the saved favorite. If you need to correct something already logged, use Drink history and Edit drink instead.
5. Remove a favorite or check a missing one
In Manage favorites, swipe the favorite and choose Delete to remove that reusable item. Check its name first. Removing a favorite preserves the drink records you already logged from it.
If Favorites is missing from a new form, check that you previously completed Add drink with Save as a favorite enabled. A cancelled form did not create it.
If Save favorite is disabled, check that it has a name, a whole-number volume within the editor's 1–2,000 ml input range, and valid composition values. New drink records also cannot have a future time. These are software input limits.
