The quick version
Open You > Workshops & journeys > Know Your Cup. Review the lessons, try the fictional portion question and save a cup reference if useful. The preview works before the workshop’s scheduled start. Practice answers and the take-away card do not add drinks to Today.
These steps match Frewli 1.1.2, checked October 30, 2026. This is a serving-size exercise, not a drinking target or a measurement of your actual cup.
1. Open the workshop preview
Choose You > Workshops & journeys, then Know Your Cup. Its subtitle is Practice portions with a hands-on cup guide. Read the date and preview notice at the top.
On this guide’s publication date, the workshop is scheduled to start February 1, 2027, in Central European Time. Lessons, fictional exercises and card saving are available in preview. Finish workshop & keep my card stays unavailable until the event is active and its required steps are ready. You do not need to finish the workshop to save a reference now. The app formats the displayed date for your device’s time zone.
2. Separate capacity from the portion
Read 1 · Explore, then tap I’ve reviewed the lessons. The control changes to Lessons reviewed ✓. A label or measuring jug can help establish your own cup’s capacity; the app does not measure it for you.
In 2 · Check your understanding, the fictional cup holds 400 ml, but the poured amount is 250 ml. Choose 250 ml. Capacity describes the container; the amount actually consumed belongs in a real drink record. A correct answer shows Understanding checked.
For a separate fictional example, a 350 ml mug contains 200 ml and you leave 50 ml behind. The consumed amount is 150 ml, rather than the mug’s capacity or the original pour. Frewli does not detect these amounts; check what you actually had before logging.
3. Try the fictional half-cup exercise
Under 3 · Practice safely, a fictional 400 ml cup is half full. Half of 400 is 200 ml. Enter 200 in Your answer, then tap Check practice answer. Look for Practice complete.
This is arithmetic practice. It does not record a drink, change Today or write to Apple Health or the caffeine log. You do not need to pour or drink anything to work through the example.
4. Keep a card and your own cup reference
In Your take-away card, choose a reference: Small cup · 200 ml, Medium cup · 300 ml or Large cup · 400 ml. The selected choice gains a checkmark and appears on the card. These are choices to keep, not confirmation that you consumed that amount.
The separate Your usual cup, in ml field accepts a whole number from 50 to 2,000. Enter a capacity you already know and tap Save my cup reference. Check the saved My cup reference · … ml line. For a fictional known 350 ml mug, enter 350; you can keep that reference without choosing a 350 ml card option.
The allowed range is an input limit, not a recommendation. A saved capacity still differs from a partial serving.
5. Return to the saved reference
Use the back arrow to return to the workshop library or Done to close it. Reopen Know Your Cup to check the selected card and saved cup value. Enter another valid amount and save again if you want to replace the cup reference.
The card and progress save on this device for the current Frewli account. This is not a cloud backup or a promise of recovery after reinstalling or changing accounts. Read any save-error message. Selecting a card also leaves your notification settings unchanged.
6. Use the regular editor for a real drink
For a drink you actually had, the workshop’s Open real drink editor control opens the regular drink form. Review the amount you consumed before saving: saving there does add a real entry. The fictional exercise and cup reference remain separate.
A workshop reference is not a reusable drink recipe. Use the favorite-drinks guide for that workflow. If a real entry already has the wrong amount, edit the original drink instead of adding another copy.
