The quick version
Open You > Data sources, tap Connect Apple Health and review workout-reading access. Use Sync now for an existing connection. Then open Training, find the workout’s starting date and tap its row. Expand How this estimate works to inspect Source before logging the same session yourself.
These steps match Frewli 1.1.1, checked October 28, 2026. Workouts saved to Apple Health can be imported; Frewli does not export its manually added workouts to Health.
1. Connect workout reading
In Frewli, choose You > Data sources > Connect Apple Health. Review the Health permission sheet and choose the access you want. The connection requests several Health types, with separate reading and writing choices.
To review a choice later, open Health > Summary, tap your picture or initials, then find Apps under Privacy. Select Frewli and review workout reading. Apple explains these permission controls. Return to Frewli and tap Sync now.
If another app recorded the session, first check that it actually saved a workout to Health. A session that exists only inside that app cannot arrive through this connection.
2. Understand what a refresh reads
Connect and manual Sync now request up to 20 completed workouts, newest finishing times first. The automatic workout refreshes read up to 10. Reopening Frewli can trigger a recent-workout refresh when its Health connection is already active.
This is a limited recent-record read, not an all-history import or a fixed two-day window. Finish recording and check that the completed workout appears in Health. A result count describes the returned batch; it is not necessarily the number newly added or your full saved history.
A basic workout can appear before optional heart-rate, route or weather details. Those details are not guaranteed by a general sync-success message.
3. Find the starting date and source
Open Training. Rows are grouped by their local starting date and show duration and start time. For a fictional workout starting at 23:50 and ending after midnight, look under its starting day rather than only today. An activity may appear as Other if it has no named Frewli category.
Tap the row to open Workout. Expand How this estimate works and read Source. Health imports use Apple Health, sometimes followed by the contributing source’s name. The workout’s fluid figures are estimates, not measured losses.
4. Compare before adding another copy
Compare source, start time, duration and available distance with the original in Health. Apple’s Health data guide explains its record and data-source views.
Frewli recognizes Health record IDs and can combine certain similar Health imports with the same source label. This does not guarantee that a manual entry and a later import, or records with different source labels, become one workout. Health’s source-priority display is not a guarantee of Frewli deduplication.
Check Training before using the manual workout form. An apparent missing row may be under another starting date.
5. Check a missing or unchanged workout
Confirm the completed record is in Health, review workout-reading permission and try Sync now. A connected badge does not prove reading was granted: Apple makes unreadable Health data look like an empty result.
Frewli keeps earlier imported workouts when a limited read omits them or returns nothing. Deleting a workout in Health or revoking read access therefore does not clear its saved Frewli copy. Repeated empty reads also do not prove there were no workouts. If a record still cannot be traced, contact support with app/iOS versions and the logging route, avoiding private health details.
6. Remove only the Frewli record you intend
Open the workout, use Workout options (the three-dot menu), choose Remove from Frewli, then confirm Remove. This also removes linked Frewli recovery records; the original Health workout stays. Read any cloud-cleanup status: removal here does not confirm successful remote cleanup.
Frewli remembers the removed import’s ID, so another sync is not a restore button. Check source and details before confirming. Water sharing has separate rules; see the Apple Health water-sync guide.
